Apple has launched a 21.5 inch new cheaper iMac at the price tag of Rs 79,900 ($1,099). Not only the price, Apple has also reduced the specs of this new iMac. It is Rs 13,000 cheaper than the current iMacs. With the new version of iMac, Apple will try to increase their sales.
The all new 21.5-inch iMac comes with a 1.4 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost Speeds up to 2.7 GHz, 8GB of memory, Intel HD 5000 graphics chip and a 500GB hard disk. It also features a next generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi, four USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolt ports. Apple’s suite of productivity apps, iWork, as well as iLife will be available for free.
The new iMac will run on the latest version of OS X Mavericks and soon users will get the update the OS X 10.10 Yosemite which will be launch later this year.Buyers can also configure the new iMac by choosing 1TB SATA, 1TB Fusion Drive or 256SSD storage options, which will increase the price.
Shipping of the new iMac will start from today itself, with delivery time of 24 hours. People who would like to buy the new Imac can visit various retail locations and online store.
There is also rumor that Apple is working on a Retina Display-equipped iMacs and they may launch the new desktop computer later this year.
