CMAT stands for Common Management Admission Test. This is a national level competitive exam to get admission in all types of Management programs approved by AICTE. CMAT was first conducted in 2012 and now it is held twice in a year in the months of February and September. Recently AICTE has decided to conduct the examination in foreign countries too.
Any graduate with 50% marks or a final year student can also apply for the test. Application fee is Rs 1400 for General/OBC and Rs 700 for SC/ST/PWD. CMAT is a three hour test and each section contains 25 questions. Like all other competitive exam CMAT also has negative marking. KMAT Exam
KMAT stands for Karnataka Management Aptitude Test. It is a state level competitve examination conducted by Karnataka private post graduate college Association for admission into Post Graduate Management courses in private B-schools. Currently KPPGCA has around 169 member institutions which are affiliated to respective universities in Karnataka. The test is held once in a year. KMAT exam 2015 will be held on August 3, 2015. The last date of application is July 21,2015. An applicant can apply through both online and offline mode. Application fee is Rs 1000 for all.
CAT Exam
CAT stands for Common Admission Test. This is one of the toughest entrance examination of the country. Year long preparation is required to crack CAT exam. The test is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for the admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses of IIMs and other reputed management institutes. Registration is easy and can be done online. An applicant should visit iimcat.ac.in to complete the registration process. Application fee is Rs.1600/- for general and NC-OBC candidates. And for SC/ST/PWD (DA) the fee is Rs.800/. The test will be held on November, 2015.
